Ian Oxman Biography

An award winning demand generation marketer, Ian Oxman brings 25 years experience helping startup businesses and Fortune 500 corporations find new avenues of growth. Recognized as a BtoB expert, Oxman brings world class experience in developing and marketing technology products, financial services, and professional services. Oxman’s work has earned recognition from trade associations, federal government agencies, and corporate boards.

As Senior Vice President of Marketing at Sage Software, Oxman managed programs that generated over $300M in revenue per year. Oxman led the development of new product positioning, promotional tactics, and retention programs that resulted in a 50% increase in revenue per customer over a three year period. Senior management recognized Oxman’s success and requested that he create a skunk works innovation team to develop new marketing solutions for business units across North America.

Prior to Sage, Oxman was VP Consulting & Business Development at the world’s largest marketing agency, Rapp (NYSE:OMC). Oxman helped companies such as Hyatt, Sony, Adobe, Pfizer, and Novartis on integrated online/offline marketing strategy. Oxman provided similar marketing consultation to clients of the world’s largest printer, RR Donnelley.

Oxman subscribes to the quantitative side of the marketing which is not surprising given his undergraduate and graduate sciences background from UCLA and Columbia. Consequently, Oxman began his career in marketing research. At Information Resources, Inc. Oxman spearheaded the development of the first ever CD-ROM video database for the CPG industry. This groundbreaking product stands today as a $100M business segment. Oxman then joined TRW/Experian and led the turnaround of a financially troubled business unit by focusing on the customer and developing several innovative new products. TRW’s Board recognized Oxman’s product, BusinessOwner Link, as one of TRW’s innovative products of the year.

Throughout his career, Oxman has focused on driving revenue growth via innovation, research, analytics, and marketing tactics both online and offline. Oxman earned his MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurism from the University of Southern California and resides in Alpharetta, GA. In his spare time, Ian coaches youth basketball, boats on Lake Lanier, and hacks around any unsuspecting golf course.
