Perez gained experience and skill as the Founder and CEO of Medicrea USA, a subsidiary of Medicrea International. He formulated and implemented a winning strategy for Medicrea to enter the US medical device market. He built the company by positioning the spinal deformity product as the most versatile and surgeon-friendly device on the market. Marshall quickly recruited 10 spine deformity surgeons as key opinion leaders and 20 independent distributors. Medicrea continues to profit and grow in the highly competitive spinal implant market. Marshall is also the CEO/Founder/Principal of MSqauared Consulting LLC.
Perez became a seasoned professional as a limited partner and senior vice president of worldwide sales, marketing and business development for Biomet. He oversaw organic growth, new product and business development, new market growth and acquisition activities during his 21 year career with Biomet that achieved growth from $20 + million to $500 million. Under his direction, the company achieved market leadership positions in bone growth stimulation, external fixation and stock and bill programs. He directed a 45 person marketing team, an 850 person US sales team and worldwide distributors in 40 countries.
Perez also gained valuable experience with Steris Corporation, a leader in the sterile processing industry, where he managed the core business in sterilization monitoring and packaging devices. Prior to moving into management, Perez was an award winning selling professional who excelled at building relationships though outstanding product knowledge and service to his customers. This successful selling experience provides Marshall with valuable insight on getting a sales team trained, equipped, motivated and competitively compensated.
Marshall is a husband and father of three. He enjoys spending time visiting and laughing with his family and friends. His attempts at golf, tennis, and fishing produce much laughter.
