Susan Morgan has more than 25 years of diversified marketing and consulting experience, specializing in oil & gas, international marketing, product marketing, research, strategy, and sales. Morgan's proven leadership skills have served her well in her work as a managing member of six high-tech startups. She also has extensive experience in strategy and business planning, E-commerce, collateral production, knowledge management, product and service line development, and marketing research, analysis and interpretation.
Most recently Morgan served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Seismic Reservoir 2020, who recruited her to breathe new life into its sales and marketing. With Morgan at the helm, the company saw tripled revenue figures, the development of new product offerings and a new pricing catalog, a dozen new clients and the first repeat clients in its history.
Morgan had been recruited from Paradigm, where she supervised the marketing of over 100 software applications. She was deeply involved in such critical tasks as rationalizing the company portfolio, rebranding and pricing its offerings to increase sales, technical communications strategy and implementation, and new product development. Morgan had moved into this role from her position as Senior VP of Marketing at Earth Decision as a result of Paradigm's acquisition of that company. At Earth Decision she managed product marketing and marketing communications, including strategy, product development, pricing, branding, positioning/messaging, collaterals, advertising, events, web marketing, knowledge management and CRM. During her two years at Earth Decision she nearly tripled its revenue and personnel.
Prior to her success at Earth Decision, Morgan scored notable achievements as Director of Technical Consulting for Schlumberger, directing business development, planning, technical consulting, and project management. Here she developed and delivered network, infrastructure and security solutions for the oil and gas, financial, public and health sectors, growing company revenues from $20 million to more than $40 million and doubling the personnel from 60 to 120.
As Director of Strategic Planning at Oceaneering International, Inc., Morgan was responsible for market research, analysis and interpretation, financial analysis, and revenue projections. She played a major role in launching new business lines in pipe inspection and subsea well interventions for the company. These new lines generated annual revenue of $21 million for Oceaneering International.
Morgan's ability to boost revenue was also evident during her tenure as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Cap Gemini, in the 1990s. She directed marketing organization of all the company's business lines and sectors in 35 U.S. cities, as well as managing 45 employees and a $21 million budget. Under her skilled leadership, Cap Gemini's revenue grew from $175 million to more than $650 million in only three years.
Morgan holds a BSEE degree in Communications from the University of Florida and an MA degree in International Marketing from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
