A progressive cross-function leader who is adept working with design/architecture, technology, operations and development teams, Kirk Thompson has a keen eye for how holistic marketing can power greater growth for hospitality interests. As CMO for IHOP, Thompson led marketing and media strategy, digital/social/mobile experience and menu innovation for the revered pancake restaurant. It was under his auspices that IHOP made significant inroads in driving category-leading engagement among millennials and young adults. Prior, Thompson helped cultivate market share and consumer loyalty as a senior marketing VP for Westfield, an owner and manager of shopping complexes; and Hilton Hotels, where he helped to relaunch each of the full-service and luxury brands with new service propositions, advertising and lifestyle partnerships. Thompson has particular expertise in brand development, customer segmentation and growth strategies, product innovation and commercialization and retailing and experience strategies.
