HOUSTON, TX – JULY 26, 2016 – Multi-disciplinary business team leader and product development lifecycle expert Andrew Poon is the newest CMO to join the Chief Outsiders team of marketing experts, the company announced today. Poon, who began his career in the oil and gas industry with Schlumberger as a field engineer, has spent the last three decades guiding growth strategies for a variety of marketing, sales and leadership teams. From two-person independent entrepreneurial firms, to super major organizations like Shell, BP, and Exxon, Poon has created and deployed a diverse cadre of focused, challenging, and achievable action plans for growth.

“Andrew is adept at administering growth-focused guidance to key technical, non-technical, and cross functional contributors by speaking the same language – a language that is focused on the business goals that produce results,” said Art Saxby, Founder and CEO. “Today’s competitive business environment requires a commitment to proactive growth across every facet of the organization. This is a key concept that Andrew employs in guiding teams to demonstrated success.”

In order to address an enterprise’s most critical challenges, Poon ensures that teams are keenly focused on the attributes that foster and facilitate ideal delivery of product. In addition to his work in the US, he has international experience in Canada, Brazil, United Kingdom, the Middle East, Trinidad, and Venezuela.

Poon’s achievements at oil and gas companies like Weatherford International, ION Geophysical Corp., Schlumberger, have allowed him to gain deep experience implementing integrated processes for new product development from strategic marketing and business planning through engineering, field trials, market introduction, and sales.

A Chartered Engineer (C. Eng), member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Poon stays active in his industry of focus and enjoys coaching teams of all sizes in developing and executing the best plan for their business.
