Denise Steinbring to apply her B2B and B2B2C life science and medical device industry experience to lead client marketing strategy and tactics as a Chief Outsiders fractional CMO

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – June 15, 2023 – Denise Steinbring, a results-oriented senior executive, will now apply her extensive medical technology and healthcare industry leadership experience with companies of all sizes to drive client market share and revenue growth as a Fractional CMO for Chief Outsiders. Recently, Steinbring joined Chief Outsiders’ team of more than 125 Fractional Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and Fractional Chief Sales Officers (CSOs).

At Chief Outsiders, Steinbring works with B2B and B2B2C life science and medical device CEOs to develop and execute transformational strategies and tactics that exceed customer expectations and deliver value for the organization. For example, prior to joining Chief Outsiders, as VP of Strategic Marketing at Cantel Medical, she helped to exceed global annual revenue by 10.8% and US annual revenue by 12.4% in a COVID-impacted year when procedure volumes were down. She did this by establishing commercial operating mechanisms with the sales teams and focusing on training & development. 

As Sr. Director of Global Marketing, Medical Education and Service at Medtronic, Coronary Structural Heart, she led a business turn-around and grew revenue by 87% while also expanding the portfolio internationally.  The core business exceeded historic revenue and EBITDA objectives as a result. She also drove Service incremental revenue growth 14 quarters in a row with an NPS of 73%.  Additionally, Denise led the strategy to enter an adjacent market following investment in an early-stage medical device company resulting in incremental revenue of >$70M three years post-launch.

Other executive roles filled at Medtronic include Sr. Director of Global Marketing, Diabetes Group, Director of Global Marketing and Medical Education, Perfusion, Blood Management, and Sr Market Development Manager. More recently, she served as Chief Marketing Officer for Starkey Hearing and Vice President of Strategic Marketing at Steris.

To support her successful marketing career, Steinbring earned an MBA from the Graziadio School of Business & Management at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, a BA in Psychology with a Minor in Management from the University of California, Irvine, in Irvine, California, and a Certificate in Digital Transformation: Platform Strategies for Success from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
