He also covers how a fractional CMO may need to be brought in to help implement a business management system like the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS). When asked how he came up with the idea for a fractional CMO model, Saxby explained, "I really wanted to focus on companies that were smaller, mid-sized firms. But in most cases, mid-sized companies can't afford an executive-level vice president of marketing, or they don't need them forever. That's what led to the fractional part-time idea."
