CHARLOTTE, NC – June 21, 2023 – Steve Figman, a seasoned marketing veteran with extensive experience in the life sciences, healthcare, and technology sectors, has joined Chief Outsiders as a Fractional CMO. With his strong background in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, healthcare, and technology industries, Figman is poised to deliver significant revenue and operating income growth as a key member of Chief Outsiders' team, which comprises over 120 Fractional Chief Marketing Officers (CMOs) and Fractional Chief Sales Officers (CSOs).

Marketing Leadership

Prior to joining Chief Outsiders, Figman served as the Chief Strategist, Life Sciences at NTT DATA Services, where he achieved significant growth by leading vertical go-to-market strategy, marketing, alliances, partnerships/acquisitions, and thought leadership.
 
As the Vice President and Global Head of Life Science at Syntegrity, a strategic consulting firm focused on solving complex business challenges, Figman drove double-digit growth for two consecutive years. Additionally, as the Chief Strategist, Life Sciences CoE at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, he contributed to significant year-over-year growth and spearheaded new customer acquisitions through the development of a Life Science/Healthcare Digital Center of Excellence and a robust business development methodology.
 
Figman has also held key leadership positions, including Vice President at BSN Medical, where he oversaw and led all commercial activities. As the VP of Marketing for Premier Inc., he held commercial marketing leadership responsibilities across four business units, including Hospital Purchasing, Healthcare IT, Hospital Consulting, and Risk Management. 
 
During his tenure at Johnson & Johnson, Figman led the senior care segment with a focus on the Oncology and Nephrology therapeutic areas. 
 
His extensive experience in driving growth and profitability has earned him numerous awards and recognition as a proven performer, respected leader, and innovator.
 
In addition to his successful marketing career, Figman holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Master of Business Administration from the University at Albany, State University of New York. He has also earned the Six Sigma Process Excellence green belt and served as an organizational member at the MIT Media Lab, contributing to the future of the Health and Life Science Industries.
