Chief Outsiders Earns Fifth Straight American Business Awards Company of the Year Award

Executives as a Service firm recognized with the Silver Stevie® for its 2017 accomplishments, including rapidly expanding private equity practice

HOUSTON, TX – May 24, 2018 – Strategic marketing consulting firm Chief Outsiders has earned its fifth consecutive American Business Award, it was announced this week. It is the organization’s first accolade as a medium-sized business in the ABA’s Advertising, Marketing, and Public Relations Category.

Known for its team of fractional chief marketing officers and best-selling marketing book, “The Growth Gears,” Chief Outsiders earned its 2018 “Silver Stevie®” for Company of the Year. Judges recognized the enterprise for its unique business model, year-over-year growth, and rapidly growing private equity practice area.

Today, there are more than 60 fractional CMOs available for part-time engagement, including 17 added just in 2017 – a bellwether year in which Chief Outsiders also added its 500th client. In addition, Chief Outsiders’ Net Promoter Score  - a measure of client satisfaction – has climbed to a level that is twice the industry average.

The Stevie Awards is considered one of the world’s premier business honors. Open to American corporations of all industries and sizes, it is well known for featuring a wide variety of categories that recognize achievement in each facet of the workplace.

“We are honored to earn our fifth straight Stevie Award – and join the ranks of those recognized in the medium-sized business category,” said Art Saxby, co-principal of the firm. “The award is a testament to how valuable our fractional chief marketing officers continue to be. In 2017, the ‘gig economy’ continued to underscore the importance of our fractional executive model. The impact of a Chief Outsider on a business is significant. Today, we’re proud of our ability to deliver insights to hundreds of midsized businesses, and to deliver high value to our clients.”

For 2017, the winners were determined through a two-month judging process by the average scores of more than 200 professionals worldwide. The Stevie Awards will be presented at the 16th Annual American Business Awards banquet on Monday, June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City.
