MULTI-CULTURAL BUSINESS EXECUTIVE GERARDO LLANES, OIL AND GAS SPECIALIST SUSAN MORGAN JOIN CHIEF OUTSIDERS

HOUSTON, TX – October 5, 2009 –Today, Chief Outsiders’ founders Kirk Brand Coburn and Art Saxby announced their newest Chief Marketing Outsiders, Susan Morgan and Gerardo Llanes.  

Morgan comes to Chief Outsiders after holding positions such as Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Cap Gemini, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Earth Decision, and many more where she has been responsible for $20+ million budgets, managing over 100 personnel, and has been successful at doubling profits for companies and clients. Previously, Morgan acted as Senior Vice President of Product Marketing at Paradigm managing product marketing for 100+ software applications. Morgan has also been a managing member of six high-tech startups and has over 25 years experience in oil and gas, international marketing, product marketing, research, strategy, and sales.

Morgan received her BSEE from the University of Florida and an MBA from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. She has published papers on the use of information technology in the business environment and is a regular speaker in oil and gas conferences.

Most recently, Llanes acted as Founder and Principal at BrandsLab, where he consulted and helped grow major companies like Prudential Financial, Unilever, Miller Brewing Company, Frito Lay, Coors, Quaker, and many others in Mexico, Latin America, and the United States. Prior to BrandsLab, Llanes held management positions for companies including Coca-Cola and Kellogg. During the course of his career, he has been a key contributor to over $297 million of international market, brand, business development, and earnings performance.

Llanes was born and raised in Mexico City and grew up fully bicultural and bilingual. He holds an MBA from Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Glendale, Arizona.  Active in the Houston community, Llanes serves on the board of the Mexico-Woodlands Association, a non-profit organization that supports Success by Six, a program geared to help less fortunate kids younger than 6 years old to be prepared before they go into school.
