Rob Talbot Biography

Rob Talbot is a passionate senior business strategist with over 20 years experience in leading teams that deliver pragmatic and creative solutions which has resulted in revenue and profit growth for Fortune 500, mid-sized and growth companies in the entertainment, e-commerce, real estate and technology verticals. 

Rob thrives solving complex problems with thoughtful, enthusiastic teams through inventive business solutions - enabling companies to change their scale and efficiency while delighting and serving their customers. 

Before joining Chief Outsiders, Talbot served as Senior Vice President of Marketing at RealtyTrac, a real estate data and analytics provider, where he was responsible for designing and executing their B2B and B2C marketing and customer acquisition strategies.

Prior to this leadership role, Talbot served as VP Marketing for M-GO, a digital entertainment streaming service where he designed and implemented all customer acquisition programs.

Before M-GO, Talbot led Napster’s marketing team and was responsible for growing the global music service's subscription base by launching integrated marketing programs that consistently delivered aggressive growth and improved key business metrics. 

Talbot has also held senior management positions at Move, Inc. (realtor.com), Sony Pictures Digital Network, Lifetime Television and HBO. In these roles, he enabled these businesses to enjoy new growth through cohesive acquisition plans, new partnerships and brand-building efforts.

The Laguna Beach-based Talbot holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Tulane University and an MBA in marketing from UCLA's Anderson School of Management. He is always looking for a suggestion on his next book to read.
