  • As acting CMO, Mauricio helped Upstream Commerce, an Israeli pricing intelligence SaaS innovator, credibly launch itself to pursue the retail market in North America, tripling revenues during his engagement as an advisor to the CEO and the Board.
  • As SVP of Global Marketing, Mauricio established the go-to-market strategy, multi-channel program and global marketing team at TradeCard, a Cloud supply chain management platform serving retail and consumer brands, prior to — and following — its merger with GT Nexus. During his tenure, he also led the post-merger, global, go-to-market planning and integration initiative while helping to double revenues, to $130M.
  • As SVP of Worldwide Marketing, Mauricio unlocked the value and growth potential of four business units within CGS/BlueCherry, a software and IT solutions holding firm, through market-focused strategies and new on-demand product launches, enabling the company to sustain growth (from $250M to $300M) during the 2008-2010 financial crisis.
  • As SVP of Marketing, Mauricio partnered with sales leadership to turn around Mobius Management Systems, a 20-year old, NASDAQ-traded enterprise archiving software company, culminating in its sale at 3x the baseline valuation. During his tenure, he helped to verticalize the sales and marketing teams worldwide, set up a new lead qualification group, re-packaged traditional products into business applications, and drove breakthrough improvements in key sales metrics: Pipeline Growth, 90%; Sales Productivity Growth, 61%; Top Line Growth, 35%.
  • As VP of Marketing & New Products, Mauricio helped to put C3i, Inc., an emerging growth CRM and clinical trials services firm, on the map by re-focusing its go-to-market strategy on life sciences and the Siebel CRM platform. In addition, he launched a new on-demand analytical service (US patent granted) and established a strategic framework for sustained, double-digit growth.

Mauricio Barberi Biography

Mauricio is a digital-savvy marketing, business development and product executive with nearly two decades of experience helping emerging growth and middle-market technology innovators realize their market potential. He has built, led and energized high performance teams on a worldwide basis; developed and launched disruptive SaaS, Cloud and Big Data products and services; and driven breakthrough revenue growth in collaboration with sales leadership and strategic partners.

As an operating executive, Mauricio has worked with half a dozen B2B and B2B2C technology innovators, ranging from early-stage startups to middle market growth firms with hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues. He is versed in branding, positioning and messaging to create compelling differentiation and generate demand that spans domestic and international markets. Mauricio has deep experience leveraging and integrating multiple go-to-market channels, including web, social media, direct sales and partner ecosystems, to deliver superior market results. He has conceived, developed and launched new technology-centric offerings that have revitalized sales growth, provided an entry point into new markets, and expanded market share. Mauricio has led marketing, sales and strategic partnership initiatives with dozens of high profile industrial and consumer enterprises, including Siebel, Salesforce, Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, SAP, SAS Institute, 3M, Schneider, Wyeth, Berlex, J&J, Eisai, American Express, Columbia, Guess, Levi’s, Patagonia, Lululemon, Adidas and Jones Group.

Earlier in his career, Mauricio led client engagements as a member of Accenture’s Strategy Practice. In addition, he designed state-of-the-art test systems used in high tech manufacturing for Schlumberger in Silicon Valley. Since 2008, Mauricio has served on the Board of Directors of Tecnoquímicas S.A., a privately owned CPG and pharmaceuticals firm serving markets in Central and South America. He earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a S.B. in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mauricio is fluent in Spanish and French, enjoys world travel, digital photography and theater, and actively participates in entrepreneurship and leadership organizations in New York City, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
